Rosacea is a common, long-term inflammatory skin condition that causes redness and bumps, most often on the nose, cheeks and forehead.
What is it?
Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin disorder that presents as red skin or a rash. This condition is typically seen in older adults and those with fair skin. It's important to note that rosacea can often be misdiagnosed as acne, an allergic response, or eczema due to the similarity in symptoms.
This long-term inflammatory skin condition manifests as tiny, red, pus-filled bumps primarily on the cheeks, nose, and forehead, and occasionally, the eyes. Symptoms of rosacea can include swelling of the face, dry and flaky skin, visible broken blood vessels, an enlarged nose, and skin redness.
